Firefox 2.0 Released, Download It Now

Firefox v2.0

Congratulations! all Firefox fans, Firefox has taken new incarnation as Firefox 2. It is released early morning today that is Wednesday Oct. 25, 2006. Although it was scheduled to release yesterday.I was waiting for it eagerly. Thanks God, there were rumors that it’s release may be postponed for some days due to some bugs. Finally it is out of box.

Let us welcome Firefox 2.

Free 2 month trial/free upgrage to Dataone Broadband for dial up internet users

Dear friends,BSNL offers free upgrade and 2 month free trial to all dial up internet users. This is a good oprtunity to test if this Plan suits your needs. This scheme is extended upto 30th April 2006. There is a cofusion about this scheme. I have collected some details on this.

Details

  • This scheme is applicable to all internet dial up users(incl. scharnet, Netone and any other ISP). But is restricted to BSNL landline users.
  • The connection provided is Home 250 plan with 400MB data transfer limit. Additional data transfer during the offer period will be charged @ Rs. 1.40/MB. All other commercial conditions as
    applicable to Home Plan 250 will apply to these customers also.
  • If you do’nt own a ADSL modem you can buy from BSNL@Rs 1250 or get on rent @Rs. 100/month and security deposite of Rs. 500 which is refundable.
  • What is free/waived/not charged: Registration charge of Rs.100, installation charge of Rs. 250 and Rental of two month (Rs. 250/month).

How to apply

  • The Dial-up users will bring his latest bill/number of recharge coupon along with the user name while applying for migration to Broadband services. In respect of other internet users from any other operators( non-BSNL ), the receipt as a proof of use may be produced which is current and valid. The existing application form for Broadband services can be used for migration also.
    (Customers should clearly mention at the top of the application form that it is for Free Upgrade / Free Trial of Dataone Broadband)

Conclusion

This scheme is useful to both who want to signup for new Dataone service and who want a free trial of two months.

  • If you want to signup for Dataone buy modem@Rs. 1200. You save Rs. 100 Reg charge+Rs. 250 Install chareg+Rs. 500 two months. rent.
  • If you want free 2 month connection take modem on rent @Rs. 100 and security deposite of Rs. 500. The security deposit is refundable after the use of 2 months in case the customer does not want to continue with broadband.
